Yes, this is a big pile of baby wipes. Abigail decided to empty the container onto the living room floor while I wasn't looking. (Do you think I'm obsessed with taking pictures of Abigail doing random things? When I walked in and saw this I laughed and said "Oh no", then ran to grab the camera and take a picture before wrestling the package away from her.)

Angel, Becca and baby Kayla came over to have lunch and play for a few hours today. Becca was very generous and shared her applesauce with Abigail.

Happy Mother's Day! Aaron and I have the Best Mothers In The World (they are co-champions). I hope you know that you are greatly loved and appreciated, today and every day.
Today we took a family trip to a "children's farmstead". We walked around looking at plants and animals, and Abigail got to feed the goats. She is so interested in watching animals and seeing new things. She really liked the goats, and was mesmerized by the big, beautiful horse and the stinky cows.

Oh, how much fun we have around here. Abigail is trying new things every day.

Monday Madness

Abigail is so adorable, but this picture makes my stomach turn. She's lying down on the nasty kitchen carpet. The carpet that I swore we would remove as soon as we bought this house. The carpet that I said was way too disgusting and we HAD to change the flooring before Abigail started crawling. The carpet that I still say is repulsive, but we still haven't gotten around to replacing with the tile that we plan to buy. We've been in the house for over a year and we still have this nastiness in the kitchen. It's not just the ugly-factor that's problematic. It appears to have decades of ground-in dirt and gunk that cannot be removed. Yuck, yuck, yuck! Maybe if Abigail keeps lying down on it, we'll finally decide the time has come to just make the investment in a new floor!

Would you think I was a cool mom if I told you that Abigail is covered in avocado because we were playing "day spa" and giving each other avocado facials? Well, too bad I'm not that cool - she's really just a messy eater!
